Student Spotlight: Bree Durham

This week we got to feature senior Bree Durham! Read below to get to know her! 

What are you involved in? 

“I am a part of Student Council Core, the Leadership Committee of NHS, and Beta CLub. I was a varsity soccer captain, and I am the East Tennessee Area Representative for the Tennessee Association of Student Councils.”

Advice to underclassmen? 

“Be involved in as much as you can. View every moment as your last. Treat everyone with kindness.”

Favorite memory made so far this year?

“I loved hosting the East Tennessee Area Leadership workshop for TASC.”

Favorite thing about SDHS? 

“The effort my teachers put in to support, uplift, and encourage me. I have very personal relationships with the staff; I feel at home at Soddy.”

Shoutout to a favorite teacher?

“Mr. Fussell and Mr. Lovingood – for being so cool and always giving me great advice.”

How do you stay motivated to do your best in school? 

“I work to make myself proud; I hold myself to a high standard. I surround myself with people who motivate me and hold me accountable.”

After high school plans/goals?

“I hope to Attend a private christian college, study psychology and business, and start my own non-profit.”
