Quarantine Life

Students who have experienced quarantine during this school year so far were interviewed, and their feedback is featured below!

Audrey Esposito, 10th grade:

Did being quarantined affect your grades?

“Yes it did a lot because it was really hard to get all my work in when I felt sick throughout the whole week while I was quarantined.”

How was communication between you and your teachers?

“Communication was okay. I emailed them and most of the time they would email me back quickly.”

Anna Culver, 11th grade:

“The first two times I was quarantined, it was much easier to stay on top of my schoolwork. All of my teachers have been very understanding, and Nurse Lindsay has been so sweet. For this third time, I actually have COVID, and it has been much worse than the first two times being quarantined. I did not realize how rough COVID really is, but I am very excited to finally get back to school!”

Nathan Sneed, 11th grade:

How was communication between you and your teachers?

“Many of my teachers have responded to my emails, and many of my teachers set out reminders of when to do the assignments.”

Thoughts on quarantine?

“It is not that enjoyable being quarantined. Having to be alone and not socializing is very hard. Seeing people really helps with our mental states. If quarantined, make the best out of it.

Lilly Massengale; 10th grade

Did being quarantined affect your grades?

“Yes it did. I am almost failing all of my classes.”

How was communication between you and your teachers?

“It was ok…sometimes the teachers wouldn’t post the assignments on Canvas, but most of the time they did.”

Sarabeth Bradley

Did it affect your grades?

“It definitely had a negative impact not only on my grades, but on my learning as well. I had no motivation to do any work.”

Thank you to those who shared their quarantine experience with us!
