Soddy Daisy High School Raises $1,600 for Cystic Fibrosis Research

Soddy Daisy High School students raised $1,600 in Brook Dalton’s name last week. Brook Dalton is the 11 week old son of Breanne Dalton, an english teacher at Soddy Daisy High School. Brook was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was born.

Cystic fibrosis is a hereditary disease that causes the body to produce mucus that can obstruct the pancreas and clog the lungs. While this possibly life threatening has no cure, advancements in treatments have helped people with cystic fibrosis live past forty.
